The I.M.F Debate

That big debate in the Jamaican Parliament on Tuesday on the I.M.F deal that Jamaica is going into with the agency is suppose to be a show down with the leading opposition party the People's National Party (P.N.P)and is going to be the main focus of the day.
The P.N.P has been the ruling party for over 18 years they lost in the general election in 2007 to the now ruling party in government the Jamaica Labour Party (J.L.P) the P.N.P has done more harm than good to the economy by their former Finance minister Dr.Omar Davies which is suppose to be their main man leading the opposition charge in the Parliament.
But how can a country have any trust in a man who has damage the countries economy so badly that it took the government almost 9 months to come some agreement with the I.M.F? What can Dr. Davies tell us that we can trust anything this man has to say? Dr.Davies has been the Finance minister for over 13 years and for those 13 years the Jamaican economy has seen no growth what so ever, the dollar has been unstable, no job creation and for every dollar we earn more half of it has to go back to pay for the debt that his government has created,so it will be very interesting to hear what he has to say tommorrow.
